Planning on a travel to Cameron Highland? I have my Christmas Eve ruined in this beautiful trap, the Century Pines Resort! They are rated as 4 stars hotel, with elegant designs and the hidden danger of un-hygienic stay. Let me summarize my terrible experiences.
1. SLOW SERVICE:
Check in procedure took 30minutes, even when it is not crowded.
2. DIRTY ROOMS:
Dirty bed sheet with blood stains and yellowish stains. Dirty coffee table! When we request to change the bed sheet, the staff told us that ALL BED SHEETS ARE WITH STAINS!!!... we argue until he finally change a better bed sheet for us, which is still with some stains on it.

3. UNORGANIZED STAFFS:
Mess up the rooms by checking in other guests into our room which we already checked in earlier. We were shocked to found some strangers inside our room.
4. LIMITED INTERNET ACCESS:
No internet access at all after 10pm! Very slow internet services available at the lobby area near the cafe. Even a small motel at the rural area of Perlis would have better internet service then this.
5. UNFRIENDLY & NOT HELPFUL STAFFS:
The staffs not even bother about the unavailable internet access. Internet services is cheap in Malaysia, how hard is it for the hotel staffs to call to their ISP to troubleshoot the problem? and how hard is it for them to open up their office internet line for guest to use? Even a cheaper motel would provide free faster better internet in Cameron Highland!
6. LOCATION:
Only advantage for Century Pines is the location, bus station is just located near the resort. However, it is not near to the main attraction sites!
7. ELEGANT ROOM DESIGN:
Room design is just ok, they do not use smelly carpets, which is why the rooms do not have unpleasant smells even though the rooms are dirty! Beware!
8. NOT VALUABLE:
Even with so many bad experiences, we able to capture all the photos, the staffs seems to be 'don't care', where is the managers? With the price of RM250+ per room per night during peak season, I booked the room 3 months in advance! We do have a better place to stay, a motel which is clean, cheap and cheerful! However, I choose to stay in this hotel since I want a nice Christmas Eve in a better place, but it turned out to ruin my day.
9. BAD ROOM SAFETY:
The staffs makes the environment vulnerable! Eventually checking in strangers into our rooms! Not just that, the safety door lock of all rooms are removed! So, make sure you lock your door when you go to bed! Anyone can go inside your room!
