Nuclear Power? Yes or No?

I always have more critical thinking, not saying that I'm more "intelligent", I'm just more to be a black hat thinker. I'm not some nuclear expert, but recently just watched some documentaries and read some articles about it.

So, nuclear power, yes or no?

Probably most people will think of the consequences of the radiation and all those side effects etc etc. For me, nuclear is nothing much more dangerous than water itself. A famous Chinese idiom "水能载舟,亦能覆舟". Water can be dangerous, and it is proven to be more dangerous than the nuclear radiation! You must be thinking that "Ria, what the hell are you talking about? It's sounds like non-sense!" Lets admit it!!! 311 tsunami in Japan had killed 15844 people and yet nobody is reported dead due to nuclear radiation exposure!

Chernobyl and the WW2 nuclear bomb effects are already a history. And I believe that we human had evolved, especially Russian and the Japanese, had better immune towards radiation.

How about the environment? The nuclear waste is much safer than the plastic bag itself! The strongest Radioactive Cesium have half life of 30years, but the plastic will remains FOREVER! So the nuclear power is far far away much more better than plastic. Furthermore, fuel creates carbon which will cause global warming, but nuclear will not. Nuclear waste will turn into inert state after they pass their half life, and that inert state will have no effect on our environment what so ever. Conclusion, nuclear power is more environmental friendlier than any other fuel available! Of course, wind and waves power is still cleaner. How about solar? There's 2 known solar power system that I know off, the one which collects solar heat using tunnels, they are safe. The other one which is using solar cells, they are all bullshit. Production of photovoltaic cells creates toxic wastes, and if that photo cell is broken, it'll be a toxic waste too.

How about Malaysia? Should we have nuclear power plants? Let me sound out my own opinion... 100% NO WAY!!! Ok... after blogging about how good nuclear power is, now why am I NOT SUPPORTING Malaysia to have a nuclear power plant? The reason is simple... PEOPLE! Our community has not reach a level of conscience state where we know how to operate such a technology. This situation, is like letting a baby by his own sitting in a tub of water... yes, he could have drowned himself! Is like giving an opium pod to a hippies, yes he will get wasted. Lets just imagine, how to teach a kid to swim? Will you throw a one year old baby to the pool? Or the 10 years old kid to the pool? Malaysia is still a baby. If you throw him into the pool, he surely get drowned.

PEOPLE is the major why we shouldn't have a nuclear power plant. Definitely no way when our own government building roof top will fall down even without earth quake. That doesn't mean nuclear power is a taboo all over the world. We just need to hand over the job to the right kind of people! There's a doctor and there's a hippie, who would you hand over an opium pod to?

Then, when Malaysia will be able to handle such technology? Until the day, where you unable to see a single piece of rubbish on the floor of the pasar malam. Until the day, where nobody knows what's duit kopi is...

Let's sit down and enjoy this documentary. :) Peace!
